Hand Collage

Due Wednesday: 9/25/2019

For this assignment we are taking a break from photography and creating a digital art collage. to create this piece you will be using the tools that you have learned in class to create this composition. Tools such as: quick selection, layers, masks, brush, paint bucket, blending modes. You will also be learning some new skills such as creating a clipping mask.

your collage must include:

1. a solid background

2. an image of a hand(s)

3. 1 geometric shape (solid color)

4. either a man made architecture or a natural element

5. 3 additional “things”

   your document can be any size, orientation or shape

Follow along during the in class tutorial. Ms. LaDuca will come around and check your work for your lab grade for the day

Principles of Design: Contact sheet & write up

(50 points) due on thursday September 12

Contact sheets must be submitted as a .pdf file and named: principlesofdesign_yourlastname

Contact sheet background must be middle gray, font color white, and cells must be in 5X8 format

Grading of the contact sheet

1. 1 point per image on your contact sheet (total of 40points)

2. 3 points labeling images (ex: balance_pod_0024.jpg)

3. 1 point labeling pdf correctly

4. 1 point for submitting as a pdf file

5. 5 points for write up
