5 poses photo shoot (35 points)
Due Jan. 27
1. Find 5 portrait photography poses online. Download them, and put them into a folder on your desktop. DO NOT PICK PHOTOS TAKEN IN A STUDIO SETTING!
2. Next, place those 5 images on a single (8x10 @72dpi) Photoshop background, and submit it to me on Google Classroom for approval of your 5 poses. DUE TUESDAY JAN 21
3. IMPORTANT! KEEP THIS PHOTOSHOP BACKGROUND, WITH THE 5 POSES YOU CREATED, ON YOUR DESKTOP. DO NOT THROW IT AWAY! YOU WILL NEED IT LATER!!!
4. After my approval, use your photography skills to recreate/match/copy each of the 5 poses, light and background. Shoot a minimum of 30 images.
5. When you shoot, take a printed page OR your digital file on Google Classroom of 5 poses with you. As you shoot, look at the angle of the camera in relation to the subject.
•Is the photo shot from close or far away, up high or down low?
•Are the photos taken inside or outside?
•Where is the light coming from?
•Is the photo vertical or horizontal?
6. Next look at the way the person is positioned.
•Where are their eyes looking (at the camera or away)?
•How is their head turned?
•Which way is their body facing?
•What are they doing with their arms and legs?
•Are they sitting, standing, leaning, squatting, or lying down on something?
7. When you are finished shooting, use Bridge to pick the 5 photos that best match the 5 poses you found on the web. Then use Photoshop to copy the editing style of the photos. Are the original 5 poses in black and white or color? Did they desaturate any of the color? Did they crop the image?
8. After you have edited your images, Combine your 5 poses photos with the 5 poses you downloaded from the web. The photos should match in pose, lighting, background and editing style. Save as a .jpg
9. Make a PDF file of your 30 image contact sheet. Rename: 5poses_yourinitails_1
10. Turn your combined 5 poses project and your contact sheet into the Five Poses folder in the Google Classroom server.
Name your project:
5poses_yourinitails_1 (this is your 30 image contact sheet)
5poses_yourinitails_2 (this will be your Photoshop document saved as a .jpg)
